The Comune celebrates civil ceremonies in the Sala Capuleti at Casa di Giulietta, the Cappella dei Notai inside Palazzo della Ragione, the Sala Arazzi at Palazzo Barbieri in Piazza Brà, and the Sala delle Muse and Sala Giacomo Galtarossa at the Museo degli Affreschi. Each room has its own capacity and its own days.

Castello di Montorio and the villas outside town

Castello di Montorio is also authorised for civil ceremonies, alongside a number of private villas and estates around the city such as Villa Arrighi, Villa Buri and Villa Polfranceschi. These sit outside the historic center, so the getting-ready room and the transfer time are part of the planning from the start.

It changes the photography more than the makeup: the room is small and close-up, guests are only a few steps away, and the ceremony itself is short, so the look needs to hold up at close range from the very first minute rather than easing into the day.
