Lashes for your wedding — the weeks before, and the morning itself
A lift and tint done at the right moment, and applied lashes on the day. Two different things, on two different timelines, and the first one has a deadline.

Two services, not one
Lift and tint, weeks before
Your own lashes, curled from the root and darkened. No extensions, nothing glued on. It holds for six to eight weeks, so one appointment usually covers the wedding and the honeymoon after it.
Applied lashes, on the day
Clusters or a strip, placed at the end of your eye makeup and chosen for how they read on camera rather than how they look in a mirror at arm’s length.
When to book the lift
This is the part with a deadline, and it falls earlier than most brides expect.
- One to two weeks before the wedding is the sweet spot — the curl has settled and still looks fresh on the day.
- Never fewer than three days before. Lashes have to stay dry for the first 24 to 48 hours, and a wedding week rarely cooperates. Happy tears included.
- Results hold six to eight weeks, so a lift booked for the wedding normally carries through the honeymoon.
- A patch test for the tint comes first — before the trial as well as before the appointment itself. Reactions are rare; a reaction in the wedding week is unthinkable.
On the wedding morning
Applied lashes go on last, once the eye makeup is finished, so the shape can be matched to what is already there. They are chosen for your eye shape and for the camera — a lash that looks modest in the mirror often disappears entirely in photographs, and one that looks right at arm’s length can read as heavy in close-up. They come off the same night: no soaking, no pulling.
The first 48 hours after a lift
- Keep them dry for 24 to 48 hours — that means no shower steam, no swimming, no sauna.
- No mascara for 48 hours. After a good lift most brides find they stop reaching for it anyway.
- Don’t rub your eyes, and sleep off your face if you can manage it.
Frequently asked questions
How long before the wedding should I have a lash lift?
One to two weeks is ideal. Three days is the absolute minimum, because the lashes need to stay dry for the first day or two and a wedding week is not a dry week. Booked at the right moment, a lift also carries you through the honeymoon.
Do I need applied lashes as well, or is a lift enough?
It depends on what your own lashes do once they are lifted and tinted. Some brides need nothing else; others want a little more for the camera. This is exactly what the trial is for — we decide it there, with time to change our minds.
Do applied lashes look obvious in photographs?
Not when they are chosen for the camera. The common mistake is choosing them in a mirror at arm’s length: what looks natural from there can read as heavy in close-up, and what looks modest can vanish completely. That judgement is part of the job.
Can I have a lift if I wear contact lenses?
Yes. Lenses come out for the appointment and go back in afterwards. Mention it when you book so the timing allows for it.
