What I offer

Powder Brows

A soft, powdery, makeup-like finish that suits most skin types and stays natural over time.

Touch-Up

Recommended within 2 months of the initial procedure to perfect shape, symmetry and color.

Color Refresh

For clients returning after their pigment has softened, to keep brows looking fresh.

Why clients choose Elena for permanent brows

How the appointment goes

Nothing is tattooed until the shape is agreed. The first part of the appointment is spent drawing — mapping the brow to the bones of your face rather than to a trend, and adjusting it with you in the mirror until you would be happy to walk out with that shape drawn on. Only then does the pigment work start.

Shape first, colour second

Brows are mapped to your features, not copied from a photograph: where your brow naturally starts, where the arch sits above your own eye, how much of the tail there is to work with. Faces are asymmetrical — every face is — so the drawing is about balance, not about making two identical halves.

Colour is mixed, not picked off a shelf

The pigment is mixed for your hair colour, your skin's undertone and how you actually want to look: powder brows can be a soft shadow that only reads as tidy, or something more defined. Both are the same technique done at different intensities, and that is a decision you make at the consultation.

The work itself

Powder brows are built up in layers of fine dots rather than drawn as hair strokes, which is what gives the soft, shaded finish of a brow pencil applied well. Topical numbing is used. Set aside a couple of hours and come with nothing else scheduled straight after — you will walk out with brows that look darker and sharper than the final result, and that is normal.

Healing: what actually happens, week by week

The single most common worry after permanent brows is that they came out too dark. They did not — that is simply what the first days look like. Knowing the sequence in advance is what makes it easy to live through.

Aftercare, in short

Keep the area dry for the first days, do not pick or scrub, and keep it away from sun, sauna, steam and swimming pools while it heals. Keep acids, retinol and exfoliants off the brow area — not just during healing, but afterwards too, because they are the fastest way to fade a good result. Sunscreen on healed brows is the single best thing you can do for how long they last.

How long they last, and why it varies

Permanent makeup is permanent in the sense that it does not wash off, not in the sense that it never changes. Powder brows typically hold their shape for a year or two before the colour needs refreshing, and how quickly that happens is mostly decided by your skin and your habits rather than by the work.

Oilier skin fades faster, because oil breaks pigment down and because oily skin renews more quickly. Sun exposure fades everything. Acids and retinol used near the brow line fade them quickly and unevenly. A colour refresh restores the tone without redoing the shape, and a touch-up after the first healing completes the work rather than repeating it.

When powder brows are not the right choice

Permanent makeup is not suitable for everyone, and a consultation exists partly to establish that. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, active skin problems in the brow area, recent resurfacing or injectables nearby, and certain medications and medical conditions all change what is advisable. If any of those apply to you, bring it up at the consultation and check with your doctor first — that conversation is easier before an appointment than after one.
