Frequently Asked Questions

Everything brides usually ask before booking — trials, pricing, timing and travel. Don't see your question here? Get in touch.

Are you currently taking new bookings?

Yes — with Milan Fashion Week coming up this September, my calendar is getting attention, but I'm open for weddings through the rest of 2026 and into 2027. Send your date and location through the contact page and I'll confirm availability.

How far in advance should I book my wedding makeup & hair?

As soon as your wedding date is confirmed. Most brides book between 8 and 12 months in advance, especially for dates in peak season (May, June, September, October) or at popular destinations like Lake Como and Lake Garda.

How do I book?

Send an inquiry through the contact page or WhatsApp with your wedding date, location, and the services you need. I'll get back to you with availability and next steps.

Do I actually need a trial, or is it optional?

I recommend one to almost every bride, and not just for the makeup itself. A trial is where you meet me in person (or by video, if we can't meet beforehand), see exactly how your finished look will photograph, and get the technical details — coverage, color match, long-wear prep — settled well before the wedding morning. For a destination wedding especially, where you may have only spoken with your artist online before flying in, that in-person familiarity matters: it's a big part of what lets you walk into your wedding morning feeling calm rather than uncertain, trusting that the day is genuinely in good hands.

Can I book a trial before confirming my wedding day booking?

Yes. A trial lets us design and refine your bridal look together before you commit to booking the wedding day itself.

How long does the trial appointment take?

A bridal makeup and hair trial typically takes around 2-3 hours. We'll talk through your dress, accessories, hair type, skin type and the overall look you have in mind.

What does a wedding day booking cost?

Each wedding is quoted on its own, because two days that sound identical can be hours apart in real work: the start time set by the ceremony, how many people are getting ready, whether you want a trial, how far the venue is, and whether someone stays for touch-ups. Send me your date, the venue or at least the town, and how many of you are getting ready — that is enough for a real number rather than a range. I answer you myself, usually within the hour, and I will tell you straight away if the date is already taken. What goes into a quote is explained in full in the bridal makeup cost guide on the blog.

How does the payment and deposit process work?

After your quote, a deposit secures your wedding date, with the remaining balance due before the wedding day. Exact deposit amount and payment timing are confirmed in your personal quote — get in touch for the specifics for your date.

Can I make changes to my look after the trial?

Of course. The trial exists to perfect your look, and any final adjustments can be discussed before the wedding day itself.

How long will makeup & hair take on the wedding day?

Bridal makeup and hair usually takes 2-3 hours depending on the style. For larger bridal parties, we'll plan a timeline together so everyone is ready in time.

Should I wash my hair before my appointment?

Yes, generally — please wash and thoroughly dry your hair before the appointment, unless I advise otherwise during your trial.

Should I arrive with makeup on?

No — please arrive with a clean, moisturised, makeup-free face whenever possible.

What makeup products do you use?

I work with professional, long-wear products chosen for how they hold up through a full day of emotion, heat and photography, including airbrush application for brides who want extra longevity.

Do you work with all skin tones and hair types?

Yes — every look is tailored to your individual features, hair texture, skin tone and personal style.

Do you accommodate larger bridal parties?

Yes. I work with bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, and other guests. For larger weddings, additional makeup and hair artists can be arranged.

Do you offer touch-ups on the wedding day?

Yes — touch-up services and all-day attendance can be added to your booking to keep your makeup and hair looking fresh through the whole celebration.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes. Based in Veneto, Italy, I regularly travel for weddings across Verona, Vicenza, Venice, Lake Como, Lake Garda, Tuscany and Milan, and I'm available for destination weddings elsewhere in Europe — travel and accommodation costs apply depending on location.

I'm French — what's involved in legally marrying in Italy?

As an EU citizen, you won't need a visa, but a legally binding Italian ceremony still involves real paperwork: a Nulla Osta obtained through the French consulate covering your part of Italy, generally submitted three to four months ahead, plus publication of the bans and a transcription of the marriage back into French civil registers afterward. My full guide to marrying in Italy as a French citizen walks through the timeline, and many couples instead choose a legal wedding at their mairie paired with a symbolic ceremony here — either way, confirm the current specifics with your consulate.

I'm Ukrainian — can I still plan a wedding in Italy right now?

Yes, and I regularly work with Ukrainian brides. Alongside the usual documents (passport, translated and apostilled birth certificate, and a Certificate of No Impediment from RATS/DRATS or your consulate), it's worth confirming travel eligibility early if the groom or a close guest is between roughly 23 and 60, since rules under martial law have changed before and can change again. My full guide to marrying in Italy as a Ukrainian citizen covers this in more detail — please confirm the current picture directly with Ukraine's State Border Guard Service or your nearest consulate close to your travel dates.

What happens if I need to change or cancel my wedding date?

Please get in touch as soon as possible — date changes are subject to availability. Deposit and cancellation terms are outlined in your personal quote when you book.
